The conditions that apply when you use this website, request a quotation or appoint Unidad Consulting Services.
These Terms of Service govern use of the Unidad Consulting Services website and form a general framework for service enquiries, quotations and appointments. A written quotation, service agreement, work order or project-specific terms may contain additional conditions and will apply to the relevant work.
By using this website, submitting an enquiry, accepting a quotation or allowing work to begin, you acknowledge these terms together with any written quotation, invoice, work order, safety instruction or service agreement supplied for the project.
If you act for a company, body corporate, school, landlord, property owner or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to submit the enquiry and approve the relevant work.
Website content is provided for general information. It does not replace a site assessment, technical inspection, statutory requirement, manufacturer instruction or written professional advice specific to your circumstances.
You may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, submit unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person or upload files containing malicious code.
Only work expressly included in the accepted quotation is part of the agreed service. Hidden defects, inaccessible areas, inaccurate customer information, additional quantities, changed specifications or unexpected site conditions may require a revised quotation or written variation.
Unidad will seek approval before carrying out material additional work, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect people, property or equipment and it is practical to do so.
The customer must:
The customer must provide safe and lawful access at the agreed date and time. Unidad may postpone, suspend or stop work where weather, unsafe conditions, aggressive animals, uncontrolled occupants, unsuitable access, electrical hazards, structural instability or other circumstances create an unreasonable risk.
Additional attendance, waiting time, travel, equipment or rescheduling costs may apply where access or site readiness differs materially from what was agreed.
Prices are stated in the relevant quotation and may be subject to VAT where applicable. Deposits, progress payments, final-payment timing, accepted payment methods and late-payment consequences must be stated in the quotation or invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer remains responsible for approved materials, special-order items, additional work and reasonable recovery costs associated with overdue amounts. Ownership of unused or removable goods may remain with Unidad until payment is received in full, to the extent permitted by law and the relevant agreement.
Cancellation and rescheduling terms should be stated in the quotation. Costs may be charged for non-refundable materials, committed labour, travel, equipment hire or short-notice cancellations.
Completion dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Weather, product availability, drying or treatment periods, hidden conditions, customer delays, access problems, load shedding, supplier delays and events beyond reasonable control may affect the programme.
Results depend on substrate condition, moisture, prior coatings, surface preparation, product selection, weather and access. Existing defects or movement may reappear. Colours can vary between screens, samples, batches, lighting conditions and surrounding finishes.
Treatment outcomes depend on pest type, infestation level, harbourage, hygiene, neighbouring activity, building condition and customer compliance. No responsible provider can guarantee that pests will never recur. Customers must follow preparation and re-entry instructions.
Customers must not spray, block or disturb colonies before attendance. Colony location, access and surrounding risk determine the available method. Relocation or permanent prevention cannot be guaranteed in every situation. Structural opening, repair or specialist access is excluded unless quoted.
Cleaning is not an electrical inspection, repair, performance test or energy-output guarantee. Access, roof condition, panel condition, weather and manufacturer requirements may limit the service. Unidad may refuse unsafe roof access.
Advice, audits, training and documentation are based on the information and scope supplied. Safety-file preparation does not guarantee client, principal contractor, regulator or third-party approval. Certification audits, accredited training or statutory appointments are offered only where expressly verified and agreed in writing.
Any workmanship warranty, callback period or product warranty applies only if stated in writing. Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
The customer should inspect completed work promptly and report a genuine concern within the period stated in the quotation or, where no period is stated, within a reasonable time. Unidad must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify work before another contractor is appointed.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law. To the extent permitted by law, Unidad is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss caused by inaccurate customer information, pre-existing defects, third-party work, customer non-compliance or events outside reasonable control.
Any limitation of liability should be read together with the accepted quotation, applicable insurance arrangements and consumer-protection law. Customers must immediately report damage or safety concerns and take reasonable steps to prevent further loss.
The Unidad name, logo, website design, text, graphics, photographs and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Content may not be copied, republished, sold or used commercially without written permission, except for ordinary personal browsing or sharing a direct website link.
Customers retain ownership of documents and photographs they provide, but grant Unidad permission to use them as reasonably necessary to assess and perform the requested service. Project photographs may be used for marketing only with appropriate permission.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. By submitting service information or files, you confirm that you are authorised to provide that information and that it may be used to assess and manage the enquiry.
Unidad may use approved suppliers, subcontractors or technology providers where reasonably required. Independent third-party websites and platforms are governed by their own terms. Unidad is not responsible for external content or services outside its control.
Please raise service concerns promptly by contacting Unidad with the quotation or invoice reference, a clear description and supporting photographs where relevant. The parties should first attempt to resolve the matter in good faith through direct discussion and reasonable inspection.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a right immediately does not waive that right. No change to a service agreement is binding unless confirmed in writing by an authorised representative.
Unidad may update these website terms as its services and legal requirements develop. The version applying to a specific project is the version incorporated into the accepted quotation or agreement at the relevant time.
